It surely had been impressing to witness the power lurking beneath this suit and human shell once more. Gabrielis still was wondering about it a little, though, while he went through a list with the newest incidents. As it seemed, the Equilibrum had recovered a little - which meant almost nothing, facing the massive problems which surely had to come up at some point again. There was no way avoiding them, as it seemed... how very bothersome.
Setting aside the report, the angel leaned back in his chair. Astan's aura had given away some sort of magic as the demon had used this strange glare to calm Ravain down. Well, calm the nephilim down...? It was more like Astan threatened him. In what way ever, it didn't seem to be too nice for Ravain. No wonder, a nephilim has his pride... and getting their pride cracked is the most terrible thing which could happen to them.
Starind down at the desk top, Gabrielis tried to figure out just what it could have been that made this glare so intimidating. After all, magic alone didn't pose a real threat. It merely could intensify the feeling. Maybe... The angel tapped his fingers against the desk top. Could it have to do with Astan's true shape? Did he let the nephilim have a glance at it? Then again... No, that wouldn't be like Astan. He never has shown anyone his demonic form. And he surely wouldn't change that because of a nephilim going berserk.
Shaking his head about himself, Gabrielis once more picked up the report, against his better knowledge he wouldn't be able to read one bit of it - and realise what it was all about. This eternal question had come up again and bothered him without end. What was Astan's true identity? Why did he never show it to anyone? What was his dirty little secret?

Leor stroke along Felix's neck a little as he watched the human sleeping. This poor thing had been this exhausted... and all because of some dreams? The demon barely could believe so. Who would use a dream to harm Felix in such a despicable way? The silver-haired male pulled the limp body into a close embrace, as if he wanted to abuse Felix as pillow himself. "Don't worry, furball... it will go by..."
This didn't remain secret, as Eskan stepped close to talk to Felix. But as the demon secretary had to notice the human was fast asleep, he merely sighed and smiled a bit strained at Leor. "He is still drained, isn't he." It had been a statement, not a question. Leor merely nodded, shifting around a little to get more comfortable. "That's not good... If it goes on like that, he will have a complete breakdown."
For some reason, both demons shuddered at the thought. "That would be terrible. Especially as he hasn't got anything to do with the Equilibrum. He's just a human, so why did he get involved in the first place?" Eskan shrugged his shoulders, sighing then. "No matter why, he is in danger. More than the Equilibrum, more than anyone in this company. He is close to being broken, and as he has been given certain powers... Well, it's dangerous, for every single one of us."

Nesay rubbed his face, trying to stay calm. A second gate to Hell, a rival seeming to aim for the Equilibrum - and then again not, a friend going berserk for no apparent reason... It all was just too confusing, and even with Zeyr's help, it all made no sense to him. The nephilim really had tried to figure out why the Hell he and Ravain had been allowed to come here in the first place... but so far, there were all questions and barely any answers.
Which remembered the red-head... Wonder how Ravain is doing. He seemed to be that uncontrolled... that angry, and without any reason, on top of that. It's unsettling to see him acting like that. Sighing to himself, Nesay got up, ignoring the confused looks the angels gave him. A nephilim never had counted much... but Felix, as strange it sounded, was this close to one of them he barely could mistrust the human.
Stepping down the staircase, he already could sense Ravain's aura. The other nephilim seemed to be quite exhausted, as it was weak and flickered like a flame in a draft. "I wonder if you calmed down again..." the red-head muttered to himself, opening the door and entering the training hall. And wow, the sight was stunning him.
Ravain was panting and wheezing in the middle of a true battlefield of broken wood, some traces of blood and the insulting stench of sweat. Nesay wrinkled his nose in disgust, before slowly approaching Ravain. He may still was mad at the other male for having shown that much desire for Felix, but now, it didn't matter. He was worried about Ravain, so everything else was unimportant.
"Hey..." the red-head muttered as he kneeled down next to the completely exhausted nephilim. "Feeling better again?" Ravain merely nodded, then sighed and leaned against Nesay, who wrapped his arms around his shuddering friend. "I'm... so sorry I caused that much trouble. I don't know what the Hell was going on in my mind." Nesay merely shook his head and leaned it against Ravain's after a while. "It's okay now. Really, it's okay."

Gabrielis couldn't focus on his work today. It seemed so... senseless to work against the shift in the Equilibrum like this. We need actions. Or maybe a plan endangering everything on purpose. All or nothing, that could work out, too. Which left only one question, a very important one, though. Would it work out? They had no guarantee their work was right, much less that any plan would do the trick.
The angel touched his necklace once more, sighing heavily. No, he was being ridiculous. Solving the problem by throwing in such a daring possibility? Then again, there was nothing saying it wouldn't work out. There may weren't any examples of past experiences, and everything was only very vague, but it really could be the solution of all of this trouble.
One thing, however, was clear in the angel's opinion. We can't fight it with paperwork. Sure, that's how the corporation rolls, but there's nothing saying it wouldn't be allowed to really act. After all, Astan's subordinates always are diligent to act. Plus, I'm quite sure my dear angels can't keep their fingers still for much longer, either. It has been far too long ago since we had some serious business. Not just maintaining the Equilibrum.
Gabrielis was aware his thoughts were quite daring, but wasn't it true? Angels and demons alike loved to act. To show off their skill in a true battle. Paperwork was nothing; maybe a nuisance and an annoying duty, but not more. He could be quite literally thinking himself in a huge pile of troubles now, but he didn't care. It had been much too long ago the angels and demons of the corporation really showed their true abilities.

This time, Felix seemed to have a peaceful dream, not one tormenting his body with more than anyone could have put up with. Leor hummed to himself, not giving a damn about his work today. Felix, after all, had a high priority in his mind - even though the actual reason was an entirely different one. If he was allowed to be close to the human like this, however, he wouldn't complain either.
Whistling some senseless tunes, Leor ran one hand through the black strands of Felix's hair. Strange how their relationship changed in a few days. The human's behaviour still confused him completely. If Felix would have gone back to the cold, almost haughty approach, then he wouldn't have been surprised. But the human stayed quite clingy... Something the demon barely could understand.
Felix yawned a little in his sleep, turning on the other side and being still again. Once more, Leor wondered about the human - this time about how Felix could sleep on the floor, with just his lap as pillow. But he guessed that was the cat side of Felix, and nothing else. Though, he would have loved to experience the wild side... and not necessarily in public...
Oh Hell, here it goes again. I'm fantasizing about something which is so never going to happen. Sighing in slight frustration, Leor leaned back his head against the wall. He was being stupid. Like Felix ever would agree to being his. Even for a moment. After all, the human never had been interested in him. But now? He couldn't assume what was to come. Something unsettling the demon more than Felix's mood swings.

Ravain leaned against Nesay for support, his eyes closed and his body shuddering from exhaustion. He had stayed up the whole night, therefore he was completely drained from any power. He didn't know why, but the initial anger was gone. As well as the wish of taking revenge for never having been able to finish his business with Felix.
As he thought about it, though, he began shivering once more. That hadn't been him. He never would want to really... The thought alone made him feel sick. Whoever made me wish for it will pay. I won't allow anyone to mess with my mind. Slowly getting up, Ravain smiled at Nesay, and for the first time realised how much he loved the red-head over anyone else.
"I'm sorry, Nes. I didn't want to worry you." He pressed a soft kiss on the other nephilim's forehead, smiling still. "It's okay, Rav. Come, let's get out of here and get you something to eat." Sighing in relief, Ravain nodded. So Nesay wasn't angry at him. He had feared this very thing, but now, pure relief was flodding him. "I couldn't agree more, Nes."
